“BioWare shutting down doesn’t really hit me the way I thought it would. I loved the studio back when they made classics like Baldur’s Gate, KOTOR, Mass Effect, and Dragon Age: Origins, but that BioWare hasn’t existed in years. Most of the original creators moved on long ago, and the modern studio hasn’t produced anything meaningful in years. What bothered me most was their farewell tweet listing all those beloved games, even though the current team had no hand in making them. It felt like a company claiming a legacy that belonged to people who aren’t there anymore. The truth is, the BioWare I cared about died years ago. This closure just makes it official.”
